Coolest Childhood. :D

Time flies by really, really fast. When you're just a kid, you always think that you want to grow up already, but now, as I reach the age of maturity, as I tend to feel how challenging, painful and burdensome life is, you want to go back on those days when all you have to do is to think on how you'll go out your house without being shouted upon by your nanny or your mom, or think on what would be your snack or packed lunch tomorrow... Those kinds of stuff. :D

But no matter how we look at life, we can still find reasons to smile. Pain is just a part of it, and it's inevitable. :D Thanks to my new pals, Tenco, Tem-i and Tikboy, reading their stuffs were a lot of fun. :D

At first, I was wondering on what alasais is (uy, plugging!!). But from the UPLB groups, they came at hand that fast, as the curious girl clicked their page. :D That led me to a blogpage with loads of reading. :D (Peace guys! :))

The first blogisode (short term for "blog episode") I read was entitled "Fetdugs". As I read through, word per word, sentence per sentence, paragraph per paragraph... They instantly made me happy, like giving me a dose of an anti depressant through my veins. :D And made me reminisce my past, on how my childhood moments were.

As I navigated at their page, they actually describe themselves as "kalye boys" - boys who had their childhood moments enriched with street games and stayed at the streets of the subdivision to play, and learned how to deal with friends, who are neighbors, throughout their entire childhood life. With that, I distinguished myself as a kalye girl, relating on their blogisodes and on how they get through their childhood days. :D

Tenco, Tem-i and Tikboy were probably my pals back when I was a kid. I dunno who they are, but I can relate on how they manage to enjoy their childhood. Back then, there were no iPods, no PSP's, having a Nintendo Gameboy would take a lot of tears and envy from your well-off pals, and all that completes a kid's day is having a dose of street games. We have our own classics: Matayataya, Langit Lupa, Tagu-taguan, and a whole lot more. Probably it would be better if you'll just visit their page and read on some of their blogisodes like "Summertime", "Im…Im…Impyerno!", and "Brownout". :D With that, alasais came from 6:00 P.M., the common time that the nannys and the moms shout out loud the kids' names to go home. It means going home time, or "playmates, see you tomorrow..." :D

But what's amazing is that after all those kalye moments, they've matured and become the friendliest guys in my network. All your posted comments would be given consideration, and would be replied with heart warming responses. :D That would make you visit their page from time to time, just to look on their responses to your funny comments, and interesting ideas. :D From kalye boys to "Englishero" guys (based on how they've described themselves on the multiply site), and probably, the successful ones now.

I definitely look up on their style of writing: With that given topic, the three of them would give their own dose of childhood moments, and with a variety of twists, depending on how they've experienced the scenario. :D It could be done by only one guy, but the three of them give a good chemistry of "diversity", the more diverse, the more kalye boys and girls could relate. :D Plus, the comments add up to the diversity. :D really cool!! :D

With their blogs, you'll certainly get a taste of nostalgia. But remembering how fun childhood life was, you'll tend to laugh out loud on how they describe each event, making then as comedic as possible. "Banat lang pare, banat lang... Hanep talaga!"... I can't stop laughing whenever I read their blogisodes. :D

With that fun and happiness they impart on a lot of college students and guys and girls who experienced the same (and probably with the same age bracket as they are), they could be lined up to the famous modern Filipino writers of all time: Bob Ong, Manix Abrera... and a whole lot more. :D

I really love being their fan. And being a friend of theirs in Multiply certainly gave me that feeling of belongingness... That no matter how hard life is, there would be those people who'll help you, in some sort of way. :D And what uplifted my soul, was just after minutes upon visiting their site, they've invited me as their friend, and as I commented on their guest book, they replied: "Aine, Tumambay ka lang dito, sagot ka namin.". :D Thanks pals! :D

And when that time comes, that I'll be given a chance to see them in person, hahaha... Autograph!!!! :D

You're awesome guys. Thanks a lot. You just dunno how much you made me feel happy. :D

And I'll keep on plugging your site!! Hahaha! :D

Specialization. :D

I had this test before, but I wanna have it again, just to see if the results will change this time. Still, it didn't. I'm still best fit of being a plastic surgeon, a nuclear medicine doctor and sort of stuff... But I wanna be a surgeon, or a cardiologist. :D

Loving School. And loving Medschool more. :)

As I gamble my thoughts, and ramble my emotions, still, I cant stop thinking about my Medical School applications. I've fallen in love on the career I wanted since I was a kid: being a medical doctor. Upon refreshing my childhood memories, and seeking answers on why I'd love to be in the medical field, here are some foolish, but reasonable answers:

:: I love going at the hospital. I love to see my Pedia back when I was a kid, and loved seeing doctors even more when I grew up. I don't have any health problems of some sort, but I love to seek help from doctors, most of the time.
:: I love the scent of alcohol. Er, the rubbing/ethyl alcohol or scientifically known as ethanol, and isopropyl alcohol :D (alcohol is R-OH, so ethanol would be: CH3CH2OH, and isoproyl alcohol would be CH3CH2CH2CH2OH.) :D
:: I love white. Yeah, I like pink, but I LOOOVE white. It's clean looking. :)
:: I love the hospital rush. :) I tend to make friends with the staff whenever a family member needs to be confined in the hospital, from doctors, medical technologists (yeah, technologists, not technicians), and nurses. I make sure to witness every detail on how they work, looking on the nurse's chart when he/she's busy changing the dextrose, look on how the med techs draw blood and look at their toolboxes (haha.. seriously):) while they're busy drawing blood. Probably if I'll be the one to be confined, I'll ask them like hell, or help them out, or probably draw blood on my own when I know how to do it. :D
:: I love our Physiology Class. Although I gave focus on Animal Physiology (go Zoology Majors!! Haha), It gave me loads of information, and gave me the chance of having the ultimate Physiology Bible: The Medical Physiology by Guyton and Hall. :D Nerdy stuff, but cool. :) I fell in love with the book. :D seriously. :D
:: I tend to look for a lot of info regarding the doctors' diagnosis. :D When my mom have to had kidney biopsy, the doctor just wrote down the diagnosis on the sheet for the insurance. My mom not knowing the real scenario, I looked it up on my "Bible". Thanks to it, I won the bet. :D
:: I love Grey's Anatomy. :D and House.:D and Private Practice. :D
:: I love to spend my day walking and or running around places. :) I love the action. :D

Probably that won't be enough, but isn't it enough evidence that I'm born to be a doctor? :D Hahaha..:D

But that won't really be enough if I'll just be sleeping over my Medical Admissions. Exams. Personal Data. Application Forms. Essays (Yeah, essays). Certificates from School Officials. Recommendation Letters (Oh Good Lord, help me with this). Official Transcript of Records (3.5 years of stay, yeah, for evaluation purposes). :D

After all this and that, especially after this year, January comes with a bulk of work. But together with that, a dose of optimism and excitement for my Medical School Years to come. :) Honestly, I have the MedSchool of my choice, but I won't spill it out yet. But hints: You'll graduate with a double degree when you enter this MedSchool. :D Ultimately new, but a competitive University. :D (haha... probably a lot of you know it already).

After five years or more, after the Board Exams, New York (US guys, US) would be a place to stay. :D I'll just specialize there, and come back afterwards. Probably another five years or so. :D

Positive thinking. It's my way of enduring pain, and looking for success. :D

Simplicity is Beauty. :D

I just dunno why a lot of people make simple things really, really complicated. :D Haha. :D

I just realized a lot after having my "knowing myself" mode for several months. Haha. :D I won't deny that those months gave me a dose of tears, and heartaches, but then, now, I'm fine, and came up to that realization that the simplest things are meant to be simple, and would really make you happy, in the end.

Why a lot of people would choose to go into a relationship without thinking, at least twice? I can't blame you guys, 'coz everyone of us feels empty, in some points of our lives. And we want someone to complete us, someone who'll be there, whenever we need them someone who'll make us feel better, or for some, give us that feeling of the ultimate high. :D

But the case is: based on researches, it's really hard to maintain a relationship, 'coz the level of the hormone Oxytocin dictates one's commitment with another. When I was still feeling all that hurt, I was like, thinking that probably, if I knew this earlier, I'll give doses of Oxytocin to him... Hahaha! >:)

But on a relationship, the rollercoaster ride goes like... FOREVER. Especially to immature relationships. And immature relationships are the products of immature realizations, like: You and your partner are meant to be 'coz you complete each other's lives, and felt like your incomplete without him/her... Symptoms also include utmost jealousy, long discussions, quarreling over petty stuff like staring on a boy/girl, saying hi to an acquaintance... Sort of stuff. I've been there, and don't wanna be there again. :D

Why need someone to make you feel warm on the cold season? Why not buy a jacket of your own, then go to your nearest coffee shop to have a sip of your favorite coffee, with your best bud. Why look for someone who'll make you happy? As for my case, my PSP works for me: I have my dose of jazz music, moving on songs, and play like hell when I feel like a kid. :D Why need to have someone who'll go with you to trips, or to places you want to visit? Memories last with photos, and that ultimate high feeling could be felt reminiscing those happy moments while traveling. :D

And most of all: Why spend your lifetime with someone... Who'll keep on hurting you... at least... FOREVER? Why not buy a dog who'll be a loyal friend 'till the end? Your jacket won't ask back for apology when you left it alone in your room, my PSP would play a lot of songs for me, give me access to the internet whenever possible, my camera would shoot a lot of memories for me, and your dog will keep on running back to you when you come home from a day's work.:D

No one can complete us, except ourselves. And we don't need someone to complete us, we need someone to share that completeness we feel to another complete individual, to make things work better, and in sync. :D

Don't let anyone hurt you in one way or another, but again, it's your choice. We're all given choices by God, and it's not destiny which dictates our lives: It's based on how we chose to live our lives. And there's no point of regretting those times, 'coz in some point in time, it made you really, really happy. :D

Just live your life according on how you want it to be. :D As for me, I have choices of my own. :D
No matter how hard my choice was, I'd live up to it, and fulfill it, until the day I die. :D
I can't stop loving. I'm still human. :)

My Ever Busy Pre-Christmas Work. :D

Since I only have my remaining units to accomplish my undergrad degree, I managed to have a lot of work for the batch graduation preparations. :D Some people thought that it would be a big hassle, but I'm having a lot of fun, doing a lot of letters, seeing the layouting done by pros (thanks kuya Fonzy!) and a whole lot more. :D

In line with all the preparations, we have to work double time before the Christmas season begins, so we scheduled an overnight work at Repro (the publishing house). The primers were layouted, and the yearbook appearance as well. :) We also did a lot of invitations, letters, and some sort of things. :)

But, no mater how tedious our work was, what's fascinating is how techie and sophisticated the overnight room was. And that gave me an idea on how my condo unit would turn out. Haha! :D

I was so into the place, the facilities, the room... Everything! So that made me take a lot of pictures!!!

Wahhh... just woke up after a power nap... Doing a lot of work (laptop)

Me and my blanket... It's really cold (bout 17-20 degrees celsius)

My workplace (in front of the plasma tv, come on!), plus the cakes were so yummy! :D Thanks Sir Reb! :D

Dozing off... (for about a minute)

Can't take it anymore!! huhu.. T-T (Will at the background, Maika and Marj sleeping)

Just woke up (the beany bag was really comfy... Comfier than the beds...)

Swing swing to energize! :D

Marjo took this picture for me. :D

Swinging after taking a bath. :D With my zooperstar shirt. :D

And a collage of pics from Maika's cam :P (grabbed!! XD)
(me and Marj, me while working, me with kuya Fonzy leaving, me working again, the swing, and me and Maika). :D

Thanks Maiks!! Bwahahahahaha... XD

I was really amazed on how the day went by, and we haven't noticed that the sun was rising up when we woke up (at 9:30)... It was only Will who haven't slept, while me, Marj and Maika were sleeping for like... 4-5 hours or so, at the beany bags :D Haha! :)

And take note: I was with three GENEiuses, and I'm the only ZOOperstar in the house! Yeah! :D

But then, it was really successful, and we have everything accomplished. :D

Loving No Sleep

They say that having no sleep damages your brain cells... But how come Medical students and doctors manage a 36-48 hours duty? That's because they love their work, and they love coffee.. Just like me. :D

Ever since Boston Cafe had their branch nearer the UPLB campus, I can't get enough of their coffee. :D It was almost every night that I come at their place just to have a hot, steamy dose of their latte or caramel macchiato, which makes my day. And of course, that wonderful ambiance and hippy furnitures, plus... Amiable baristas. cool. :D

I'm close to getting my diploma, hopefully, it would only be four months from now that I'd be getting my undergrad diploma and proceed to Medicine... So I took pictures from the giant centennial Christmas Tree we have at the campus. :D With my dude who kept me warm this Christmas: My Boston Coffee.

My captured moment. :D

Have a sip of coffee... :D

So after those depressing moments, it's better to have a coffee break to unleash those adrenaline, and do what the clock does: Moving on, and never stops. :D

There's no reason for you to stop seeing your purpose. :) maybe you have no purpose for him/her, but still, you can find your purpose in other people. :P

Merry Christmas! And I hope you'll find your dude that will make you feel warm during the holidays! :D
